” The Social Networking Effect,Is critical in understanding Social Media Responsibility ”
Christopher Andrews is currently a High School Social Science Educator within the Dekalb County School District, located just outside of the city of Atlanta. Born and raised in Miami, FL, Christopher always prioritized education as he sought to become the first member in his family to earn a college degree as well as grow into a beacon of light for his community. Upon graduating from Miami Killian Senior High School, Christopher moved to Gainesville, Florida in order to enroll at Sante Fe College. However, while at Sante Fe College, Christopher Andrews faced many hurdles such as deaths in his family, inadequate finances that were needed to continue the Academic Year, and a myriad of health issues. Determined to continue keep his promise to his family, Christopher moved to Tallahassee,FL in order to get a fresh start at Tallahassee Community College. Two years later, Christopher finished his Associate’s Degree which he mailed home to his Grandmother before enrolling at Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University. Against all odds, Christopher Andrews took on leadership roles within FAMU’s History Program and College of Education on his way to graduating with honors. Now a first year teacher, Christopher Andrews uses Social Media in his classroom in order to drive healthy current event discussions as well as discussions about awareness. Christopher Andrews believes that Social Media Awareness is a much needed conversation and movement within School Systems as well as other sectors of society. Christopher allows his more mature students to film his lectures on Facebook live and allow those videographers to post the lecture to the class group for the students who may be physically absent from school that day but may have their Social Media within the grips of their hands. Lastly, Christopher Andrews believes that Educators should attempt to be open-minded and aware as to HOW and WHY students use Social Media in order to curb some of the incidents that have occurred in the classroom.

Good Luck. We are so proud to see you doing great projects like this.
This film WILL change the way we see social media forever! The idea is one of-a-kind, and will open our eyes to the benefits s and consequences of our everyday media usage. Because of this, we have decided to donate to the “Social Networking Effect”, not only because it will make an impact in the technological world, but because it will make an impact throughout the physical world, as well!
